To make the animals, a piece of spruce wood is set in rotation on a lathe and worked by hand with various tools.
The result is a tire with curves, indentations and grooves, which at first glance appears simple and inconspicuous. Using a knife and hammer, small slices are then split off from the finished tire, which are then used to create the animal figures.
To give them life, they are further processed with a carving knife and equipped with tails and ears. Finally, all the animals get a species-specific painting, so that each animal is unique and has its own character.
