The village of Wilkau-Haßlau is not far from Zwickau at the foot of the western Ore Mountains. The small Saxon town is often called "the gate to the Erzgebirge".
On the heights above the village situated in the Mulde valley you have a fantastic view from the "Zwickauer Kessel" up to the Erzgebirge. The ascent to Lutherhöhe also offers great views. Other excursion destinations are the Bastei in the Haara district or the nearby Plotzschgrund, which is part of a landscape conservation area.

Haßlauer Christmas stars - Our assortment

As a reminder of the star of Bethlehem, illuminated Erzgebirge Advent stars are an indispensable part of the region's Christmas tradition. They have been produced for many, many decades and in different shapes and designs, but are always just beautiful to look at while hanging off the ceiling or shining through windows etc...

Christmas stars from Wilkau-Haßlau, in their typical green box, have been produced since 1985. Company owner Matthias Wild produces stars for indoor and outdoor use with different colours and designs.

In the 80s, the stars were assembled by using sample clamps. Since 1996 the Haßlauer christmas stars for indoor use are offered with a simple assembly system. The single or multi coloured stars made of paper are supplied with built-in electrics and a 3.5 metre long cable. All Halauer Christmas stars have a diameter of 65 cm. The colour palette ranges from simple yellow to turquoise-white with gold pattern.

Since 2004 Hasslauer Christmas stars have also been produced for outdoor use. The single or multi coloured stars made of plastic can be used inside and outside the house and are also supplied with built-in electrics and integrated 5 meter cable. The diameter of the Haßlauer inside/outside stars is 60 or 75 cm. They can be assembled just as quickly and easily as the inside stars made of paper and can be stored safely and space-savingly in their green box after Christmas.
