Innovative handicraft

The origin of the Börner GmbH goes back 5 generations to the 19th century. It all started in the Black Forest with the fabrication of clockworks. One of the descendants went to the Ore Mountains. He produced brushes and paint brushes like many other local handicraft enterprises at that time. Other descendants of the brush makers devoted themselves to mechanical engineering. Today the company works exclusively with metal instead of wood and has specialized in finest metal parts for mechanical engineering as well as turned parts for the electronics industry. In 2014 the company dared to implement the innovative idea of manufacturing a tradition object of the Ore Mountains in a completely new way - the first Smokers made of stainless steel saw the light of day - shining and shimmering they were a real world novelty! Innovative products also need an innovative name - the brand ADAMAS BRASS was born. Since then the sonorous, somewhat mysterious name has stood for optically clear design in combination with precious shiny metal. The Smokers made of stainless steel are not simply a break with the handicraft tradition of the Erzgebirge - they are manufactured with the same painstaking handicraft as their wooden brothers and shall be seen as a new and high-quality extension of old forms of production. The first creation of the ADAMAS BRASS brand is the “The Good Shepherd” which is meant as a hint to the famous Psalm 23. Further Smokers or decorative objects as the oil lamp “Burning Hearts” have been added to the assortment in the meantime.
