The origins of the workshop Gunter Schalling in Seiffen go back to the year 1918. Thomas Schalling is member of the fourth generation to continue the family business. He completed his apprenticeship as a wood toy maker in 1999 (as state winner) and shortly afterwards passed the master's examination.

The workshop Gunter Schalling always took care to preserve the old techniques of traditional Erzgebirge wood art. Even the younger generation has an eye on those traditional arts and knows how to use them. But as many other workshops, Gunter Schalling also implements very attractive modern design ideas. The company creates music boxes, Candle Arches, Christmas pyramids, smokers and figures of all kind.

We particularly like the modern, elegant “Hanging Pyramids” you’ll find in our shop. We offer the extravagant model "Nova". This pyramid - with the typical glass ball in the center where individual objects can be placed - is available in four beautiful color combinations, and there are also two table variations to choose from.
